I heard it through the wood-bine
Years ago, I did a lot of bird and duck paintings. I used acrylic, oil and some quill pen drawings. This particular setting was one I viewed when waiting for wood ducks to land in the marsh. We saw no wood ducks that late afternoon, but the blue jays were loud and drew attention to all the neat woodbine hanging from the trees. I decided it was a great subject to paint.....blogged in June 2007.
