Life is a Keyboard

Life is a Keyboard

For years, after abandoning my oil and acrylic painting, I began doing shows with watercolor illustrated verses and quotes. This was one of my favorites. When I wanted to have some words with my watercolors, I couldn't afford typesetting at the time, and computers were not available like they are today, so, I had to learn how to letter, thus, calligraphy. I taught myself from a book I purchased at Walden's. I have never been sorry and am glad that I was ahead of the computer age. Being able to hand-letter has been valuable in every aspect of my work. Blogged in June 2007.
